Construction-technical survey
Quality without compromise. Asbestos is often hidden under other surfaces, paint or tiles. Avoid unexpected surprises and don’t go over budget when renovating your building. We provide air and material sampling and analysis to reveal the presence of dangerous asbestos fibres.
Why carry out construction-technical surveys and measurements of asbestos in materials and air?
Sometimes project documentation is not enough
When revitalising public and office buildings built before 1999, the presence of asbestos is more than likely. The original project documentation often lacks essential parts from which the required information could be obtained.
Sampling for the presence of asbestos
We also conduct air and asbestos sampling during the operation of the building. This activity may only be carried out by an authorised and qualified person.
Risk of reconstruction without a survey
When works are carried out without a construction-technical survey for the detection of asbestos, it is not possible to estimate 100% what material will be affected. Asbestos is often only encountered during reconstruction. We recommend that a survey is carried out before the start of construction work. This will avoid endangering public health and making the investment more expensive.
Results from an accredited laboratory
The analysis of the samples taken is carried out by an accredited laboratory and according to the applicable EU standards. The result of the analysis is a protocol accepted by the Slovak authorities. The protocol is valid and accepted throughout the EU.

Where you may encounter asbestos
Asbestos on the roof
Asbestos on roofs can be found in corrugated form or in the form of smooth roofing tiles, in a variety of colours. In addition to roofs, asbestos can also be placed as cladding on the facades of houses.
Asbestos in Curtain Walls
Asbestos in Curtain Walls is quite widespread in our country. We often see it, especially in public buildings. It consists of a coloured glass panel on the outside, while the inner part consists of asbestos-cement panels.
Asbestos in the interior
Interior partitions, insulation panels in partitions and ceilings. Often found in older buildings - offices, schools, nurseries or hostels. The most common composition of dupronite partitions is asbestos board - glass wool - asbestos board.
Asbestos in industrial buildings
It is most commonly encountered in the form of fire-resistant coatings on metal structures. Damage to such coatings during handling, maintenance, repair and demolition can cause contamination of the surrounding area with asbestos dust in high concentrations. This is because they are low-strength and brittle materials which bind asbestos fibres weakly. In addition to spraying, asbestos in the industry is found in the seals of boilers and process equipment or cable trays.
Asbestos in residential buildings
It is most commonly found in ceiling soffits in entrance lobbies, common areas and basements. In addition, it is also found on balconies or in the form of various insulation and cladding boards, either around the perimeter or in the foundations of the house.
Asbestos in risers
Found mainly in older types of prefabricated buildings in the form of sewer pipes and ventilation shafts. As a result of their wear and tear, pipe failures and extensive damage to the apartment building often occur.
